I just got to say, I understand you want to do better this time but 20/21 is already REALLY GOOD!

ok so out of 30 eggs 5 were not fertall and the other 25 have babies!!!!!!!!!! i think my hum has been a lil high but its been around 30 57%. so i am not going to put water in for a couple days. And thats great about your babies!!!!

I got the same incy as you, cova 24, automatic. I had probs with the temp for the first four days, kept having to turn mine down as the eggs warmed up. Now though, just pour in water every two or three days and happy out. Just at end of day 10 now, have 2 gone from 24, 1 infertile, 1 quitter. First hatch so as excited as you! Mine due 18th/19th, lavender araucanas.

21 out of 40 mad it to lock down and 20 hatched. So itwas not that great. lol Hope you all have great hatches!!

I just found out that I cant keep any babies that hatch

Im having to get rid of my hens as Ive just been told Im expecting twins of my own.

This will bring to me six children and two business to run from home, so Im going to need every minute I can get.

My girls are going to my Auntie and my babies are heading to a college for the special needs to start their first flock. I know they are going to have great home.

Its a sad and happy time all at once which is a bit weird.

On the plus side we move to the farm house in about 18 months so it will be back to chicken overload then with space to play without stepping in chicken poop!!

Happy hatching. Im going to lock down in 3 days

I am secondeldest of 6 and i think its fun being in a big fam!. I am selling all the babies that hatch to some guy. lol but when you move to the farm you can have all the chickens you want!!! Ceep us posted!!
