Lockdown!! Out of 30 eggs 4 were not furtall and 1 went bad. I am pritty sure that the other 24 have chicks in them! But its hard to see on the brown eggs. lol How are yours doing?

I just locked down too, my novital cova 24 has managed to keep 20 out of 24 shipped eggs going until I last candled them last night. Have had a bit of an issue setting up the incubator for hatching, but all done now. The instructions says to lay a seperator across the gap between the floor and the wall of the bator but it won't fit, so have put in paper towels into the water wells and put one across at an angle. Will have to keep a close eye on it at hatching. Got great humidity at 68% but will have to keep tweaking it I think, it's all very much guesswork. Sponges, paper towels, water on the floor of the bator, it's a bit of a nightmare! Plus, I have to move the whole thing 40 mins away on Monday so am mitigating shipping now while I lockdown. No more opening until Wednesday with a bit of luck! They are due to hatch Tuesday night.

I am actually going to tape the lid on so I don't open it again, this is killing me already and I KNOW it'll e days yet!!

Sarahirl-If you take the shelf off the auto turn screw and move it across 2mm then the seperater fits in mine. I also have the trough filled in it seems to be holding at 66%.
Maybe its the fresh Cornish air.

Ive not opened mine and they are due to hatch tomorrow but I can't see any rocking or pipping, nothing. Im checking it every hour of so, I love/hate this bit

Sethsleader, I thought you set on the 27th, like me? Maybe I'm out with my days. I'm so far out with my timekeeping I didn't realise we'd be away for hatching week, so they're coming on holiday with us! Only an hour's drive though, will make husband drive really carefully!

I don't exepct even a pip until late tomorrow/Tuesday, I'll be delighted if I get one before though, of course!! Nobody says this is worse than the last two and a half weeks....

Hi, I seet my eggs on the 26th April, one has pipped at 6 this morning but the humidity dropped to 52% (looks ike i spoke too soon). I had it back up to 69% right away and the shick was still cheeping.

But its all quiet now I cant hear a thing, no more shell has been chipped away and its been 8 hours Im contemplating helping it or do you think its too soon??

Yep its to soon. Wate at least 24 hours. If you get the hum up to around 75% it gives you mor wiggle room. lol Hope that helps!!!!
