Puttin sick (now health(ier) ) chicks back in with flock

Hi again all!! My two chicks that were not feelin good are doin better and I am lookin to put them back out with the others. They have been kept separate BUT in same shed. How can i introduce them back. My friend said they would get the crap beat out of them by the others. They all came together, but had to separate when they got ill. (about a week) Anyone know any tricks? AND how old should they be when u let them out on grass in pen?

They can be out on the grass at 2-3 days old; that is when chicken Mamas usually take the babies out. The limiting factor is temperature. Babies raised by a Mama will run under her wing to warm up when they get cold.

I would let them all out on the grass and distract them with not only the new freedom but some treats. With luck they will not notice the new additions.
