putting chicks under a brooding hen

Will the average hen accept chicks when she is brooding? If so what is the procedure? I Have 16 New Hampshire Reds 3 that are sort of yellow and it is 2 of them that want to Brood, 6 pullets black ones with white speckles, 4 baby turkeys,2 cats, 1 dog and a milk cow. Thanks for any information

Don't put the milk cow under her or vice versa.
