My birds have their DL run. I have added (b/c hubby was tired of the moon scaped lawn, and the smooshy bombs everywhere) an extra run which is a combination of weedy things over my leach field. The birds get variable access there. (either Goliath and his 2 girl friends, or partial flock consisting of 15 adults and 10 "tweens". So, the weedy mess has not been killed off yet. I hope to overseed that area this fall or next spring with a combination of oats, grass, perhaps some white or red clover.
