they are not quite fully feathered, plus its still 30s (day) and in the 20s (night) temps here... but if i put a heat lamp and keep them indoors will they be ok?

theyre becoming an inconvience in my house but I dont want them to freeze to death. theyve had NO HEAT LAMP for a week.

Just hang a heat lamp and they'll be fine. I raise chicks outside year round. With a couple heat lamps even if the temps got in the 20s in the building. They don't even hang under it much - the same way they act with a broody hen.

We have 3 week old chicks in their coop with no heat.. Michigan temps between 15-40... They are fine and happy... The less suplimental heat they get the faster they will feather... I wouldnt be worried, and of all the loads of chicks we've raised we have lost 0... None
