Putting quail outside?

I just put mines out at 8 days old. I have 35 and they were getting too tight in my brooder. Outside they have a fully enclosed room with heat lamp for the night and an open run. Day temps here are 85-91°F and night temps are 68-73°F. They have a fan in the run. I had to turn that on today, because temps went up to 92. A few were panting. But they all survived. They all figured out to go in the heated room at night, when temps dropped. If you do put them out, plan on closely monitoring them and even check on them at night a few times to make sure they are comfortable and help them find the warm spot, if they seem lost. If they are used to red light in the brooder, keep that on for them outside as well for a while. I use an 8W red LED bulb for that. It's non-heat. And I use an infrared heat bulb in the cozy-room.

Thats good to know my coturnix are going to be a week old on Thurdsay. The ones I have out now seem very happy I just need to help them into the enclosed loft using the ramp.
