I eggtopsied the two unhatched eggs. Both were fully formed, and had internally pipped. Not sure why they didn't hatch. The brown one had absorbed its yolk sac, but the green one hadn't. I'm guessing that one maybe died first? Oh well, I'm happy that I got five, anyway. I really don't need more chickens.

Congrats! I have a Wyandotte on a dozen ee/mix that are supposed to hatch on Sunday. Would love to see pics!

I did it wrong - here she is outside with her babies less than 24 hours after hatching.

Here they are shortly after hatching. Mostly dry, but not quite fluffy yet.

I wouldn't say our hens could be sisters, but they might could pass as cousins! They both have the dark head/lighter body coloring going on. Very cute chicks! i'm looking forward to see new chicks with this hen.

They do look similar, don't they? My hen is actually darker than the top picture shows, but I lightened it so the chicks could be seen more easily.
