So I was checking under my broody cause she always steals the other freshly laid eggs and when I did one of the eggs (with a baby in it) fell out from underneath her wing. It cracked a tiny bit. I am always SO careful but not today I guess. I immediately stuck it in my shirt and got to the house, I melted some wax and put it over the crack cause that was the only thing I could think of to do. I have put it back underneath her since.

So question is did I do harm by putting wax over the crack or was that the right thing to do? My hopes aren't high that it will hatch but I guess I tried.

Yup, right thing to do, at least as far as I've heard!

It's the only thing I know to do. I have one in the incubator right now that I waxed...due to hatch any minute. Last I candled, it was doing fine. You just never know.
