Look great, but how hard are those to fill?
I saw where someone drilled/cut a hole in the top cap and inserted a piece of broom handle through the hole with the end resting on top of the feed. As the feed was consumed the broom handle would drop lower into the pvc pipe. You could put marks on the handle to tell when the feed is at different levels...Not hard at all. I use one of those soup containers that Chinese restaurants use. They're flexible enough that I can pinch it so the feed pours in without any spilling. I just fill each tube to near capacity. I just filled them Monday and will check tomorrow to see how they are. I'm thinking of a way to use something like a dipstick to use to see how far down it is. Still thinking that one out![]()
