PVC feeders

Look great, but how hard are those to fill?

Not hard at all. I use one of those soup containers that Chinese restaurants use. They're flexible enough that I can pinch it so the feed pours in without any spilling. I just fill each tube to near capacity. I just filled them Monday and will check tomorrow to see how they are. I'm thinking of a way to use something like a dipstick to use to see how far down it is. Still thinking that one out

I saw where someone drilled/cut a hole in the top cap and inserted a piece of broom handle through the hole with the end resting on top of the feed. As the feed was consumed the broom handle would drop lower into the pvc pipe. You could put marks on the handle to tell when the feed is at different levels...

Those are nice. I made one with a vertical pipe, a 45 degree with another straight pipe that leads to a sanitary tee. Each side of the tee has short pipe with 2 inch hole bored into it for feeding. A cap glued to either end of the "feeding trough" and a snug fit cap on top to keep was out of the top and it works great. Mine will hold about 10 lbs of feed, when full, and will last about 3 days before refilling. I use a peanut putter jar, turned scoop to fill and it works brilliantly.
