PVC Pipe Feeder?

Here's a link to making a PVC mineral feeder, they work great for poultry feeders.
The Y pipe design works better than using the elbows that other types use and also makes clean out a lot easer.
I made two of these for my chickens. I saw it on another post, and just winged it. :) I use mine for grit and oyster shell. Saves a lot on the grit. My chickens were always knocking over my grit bowl.

I used 3" pvc and no glue. Total cost for both was $30.

I didnt like the version with the "Y" in it because then the food sits in the bottom and the chickens cant get to it, so I opted for the 90's and that way it all slides down.

I just started making mine. I read about it to day. So went and got the materials let you know how it goes. I do have to sort out the drinker as well because its freestanding they keep scraping the bark mulch into it. I,ll say i,ll have to get one that hangs it will stop it getting so dirty.

It's cheap and easy to get a 5 gallon bucket and some nipples, no more poop or wood/litter in the water... My brooders constantly remind me of how much of a mess birds make out of the water...
