PVC upright feeder.

We recently built this feeder in anticipation of getting chickens. Has anyone made something like this? The 2" pipe inside holds the feed and when the chooks put their head inside it prevents the feed from being spread around the floor. If it works, I will put the full plans on my site. It seems pretty simple, but if anyone has any tips before I get my chickens I would appreciate it! Thanks.

You might want to put a screw on cap on the bottom to allow for clean-out. Dirt and mud get in there quite a bit. Also, there will be a lot of feed dust left behind that will collect over time in the bottom.

There is a screw cap that fits inside perfectly so the pipe is flush with the ground (or whatever it ends up resting on). Thanks!
