This is my first time having a pregnant doe. I have been checking the tail ligaments and they are soft, but I read that the pin bone ligaments need to soften. Are they the ligaments that are on either side of her tail about an inch away? She has bagged up but it is not hard. We are all on pins and needles as when she was bred is an unknown, and she is tiny tiny tiny. She was bred at around 6 months of age, just hoping she doesn't have difficulties. Has anyone had similar experiences with a doe being so small? (She is around 30lbs and that is near full term!)
Thanks for any input!

her bag will get tight and shiney, (strutted) her ligs , will dissapear. with her being so young and so tiny i would highly recommend that you be present. I have a small doe that is a maiden this year and she was bred at 10 months. she is around 20 lbs with not being prego... do you have a kidding kit together??

a link that may help....... http://www.jackmauldin.com/management/detecting_labor.htm its with boer goats as an example, but it should help! lots of great info there!

good luck!
