Pygostyle broken off of hen

There is what looks like a little nub of something. It was in one of the pictures I posted but hard to see because of what looks like it might have been dried blood. It shows up best in top picture.

I hope she heals up OK. I wonder how it happened?

My only frizzle hen is the top of the coop and whilst she is a quirky little thing, she can be a right bully to the others, including the rooster!

Well, no telling when it happened. Guess I will continue spraying with Bannix when I have chances. This little girl has had a bit of a hard time in life. She’s the “different” one and always sort of dismissed by the other hens. She’s feisty though and we’ve been supporting her for years. Hopefully, she’ll pull through again. Thanks.
I have a girl just like yours. Oddly enough she's also frizzled. ❤

I saw the nub in the picture, so that's why I asked. I'm just wondering if it was impacted or infected and that's what started it all. Time will tell if it's functional or not. Not much you could do about it.
Janie is doing much better. Her comb color is good and she’s hanging out with the other girls again. Dodged another health crisis, I guess. Thanks for the support.
