I ordered Silkie hatching eggs, and I got these 2 lovely little babies. I have been reading about Silkies, and from what I understand they should have 5 toes and black skin...what does that mean for my little black baby? It only has 4 toes and yellow skin. :( I think she is precious and I will keep her anyway, but is your opinion that she is not a silkie at all...a silkie with an abnormality??

I have seen a chick with the same coloring as the black one, but i forgot what it was... um..... nope, i lost it.

Sorry

No, completely different breed, not an abnormality! It would have to be extreme if a chick was born with not only yellow skin, but 4 toes on each foot! (non-feathered).
The chick looks like it could be a black australorp...maybe. That is subject to change.
They're very cute!

Oh, well...I guess I shouldn't have believed it when the ad said "Show Quality Silkies"...I'm not planning to show them, but I DID want silkies.
