Q for parents out there, about potty training

Gunpoint. It is the only way.

My son trained at about that age. He's 5 and a half now. I did give him reminders through out the day. He had the occasional accident when he chose to keep playing rather than heed my reminder. It didn't take long before he didn't need them. Luckily he didn't like being wet. I had family members pushing me to train him long before this. (MIL swore at 18 months both her kids were fully trained). My kiddo just wasn't ready before he was three. It took most of the summer before we were all really confident. He start preschool the next fall and never had an accident there. For him it was really a matter of him truly neing ready and me helping since he gets very focused in his play.
Good luck!

I trained 5. Three boys, two girls. There is a difference in potty training the two. Children can feel the need to go for a while before they have any real control. Bribery/rewards work...if the mechanics are in place. If I see the 'dance' parental authority takes precedence. I send them or take them to the bathroom...or find a bush. Potty training is definitely easier in the summer months. Less laundry.
