Q: what do laying boxes look like?

Our neighbor gave us something for the chickens, but I'm not sure what it is. It's a metal, rectangular box with 4 little portholes in it. The individual cubicles are not very big. Is it something our NHRs can use?

They sure can. They are nest boxes. Good deal, the metal ones are very $$$$$
