I have a couple of 11 week old hens and 2 older hens. Whereas I have let everyone out together, the big ones chase the young ones when they are spotted.

Knowing this, when should I make the young ones stay in the same coop as the older ones, especially overnight (the young ones currently have their own temporary coop)?

I’d put the young one in an enclosed space in the coop , (a wire kennel ) for a few days let them get used to each other .

Then after a few days let the little ones out but make sure they have spaces to hide , small doors for them to run through ...

I take my hatches to the flock at 5 weeks old, they could go sooner but I have to deal with cats. They go from the incubator to an outdoor brood-house at 2-3 days old, where they are in site of the flock, the girls come visit. At 5 weeks I place them on the roost at night in the main coop.
There is certainly a pecking order and they figure that out fast. They also have places (hiding places) to get away from the older birds, and food in an area fenced with 3x3 wire. Multiple water sources, and lots of room (225'x150' run)
