I am wondeing if this is possible? Can you keep game birds with chickens? I would love to have a pair of golden phesants and abunch of quail but I already have chickens and am wondering if I need to make 2 runs and compartments in my coop for the game birds and chickens.

Gamebirds of anykind and other domestic poultry dont mix--- too much bad mojo here. The domestic poultry carry diseases that gamebirds have no immunity to and are lethal in most cases. All while bertha barred rock never shows any signs of illness whatsoever...

You certainly can have all the speces mentioned, they just all need seperate accomodations and a little biological isolation from each other

That has been discussed here a couple of times. and everybody says a big NO. quails and chickens cant be together, mainly because chickens carry certain diseases that there inmune to but quails arent, and basically youll end up with dead quails.

I had a couple button quail get loose with my chickens. The chickens were about to eat the quail, but I caught them just in time. Not sure about larger quail, but chickens are mean.
