Quail and Pigeons?

As most of you who know me here I raise Pigeons, I have a Loft with Portuguese Tumblers and was wandering if Coturnix Quail could live with them?, I wanna get some for eggs and meat but I wanna know if they can live with Pigeons before building a hutch

It's possible since the pigeons would be upper level and the quail would be ground level, but it's usually not a good idea to mix species. I don't know how territorial pigeons are, but if they are, the quail will have a tough time. If the quail get territorial the pigeons can just fly away, but they may pass disease between them.
