Beautiful chicks and eggs! What a cute stuffed quail toy you have in there-I've been looking around locally for a stuffed chicken toy for my chicks after they hatch.

Thanks everyone!! Yes they are awesome/cute little things arent they!?!
Heres the tally as stands right now....

6 eggs due friday....4 hatched

15 eggs due sat-today...1 hatched, 8-9 pipped

Depends greatly on species but Cortunix take 16-18 days to hatch.

So far now I have 10 chicks out and 6 eggs crackin! I managed to catch one of the chicks hatching here is the video hopefully.

Are you talking about the egg hatching video?
And no his yolk wasnt fully developed and it was still in the egg. So he was getting yanked back when he pulled.

OMG, Sam... that is so wonderful that you caught that on tape! It's so fast!!! How long had they pipped before they actually busted out? I have some "practice" quail eggs coming Wednesday or Thursday... do you mind if I call on your expertise if the situation arises?
