There are some inaccuracies in the Coturnix section, I picked up the Backyard Poultry magazine and put it back on the shelf...the reds/fawn need work hun...

Pharaoh Quail are Coturnix Quail. Japanese Quail, Coturnix Quail, Pharoh Quail, Egyptian Quail, etc are all names for the same thing.

I believe Pharaoh is the name for the wild type color.

Yes pharaoh is the wild type pattern. There was a little tidbit on Red and fawn being the same. Red is also known as Red Golden. The Fawn is just a gene for the Manchurian and Italian. I just don't think people should right about something without resources. Why educate false info?

But anyways, I am glad to see them being written about because they are wonderful. I have only had mine for about a month but I am in love with the little guys.
