Quail Bits

I keep reading all these post people have with pecking problems.........in some cases DON'T BE AFRAID to use quail bits. easy to put in and remove no harm to the birds......no more trouble with bald birds. oh yes they are cheap also

THEY'RE QUITE SIMPLE TO PUT IN... THEY COME IN PACKS OF "C"SHAPED METAL RINGS... THEY ARE INSERTED INTO MR HAPPY'S MOUTH AND BENT GENTLY WITH PLIERS UNTIL THE OPPOSING ENDS OF THE "C" ARE RESTING INSIDE THE OPENING OF HIS NOSTRILS... THEY PREVENT HIM FROM CLAMPING DOWN HARD WITH UPPER AND LOWER BEAK AS THEY STOP COMPLETE CLOSURE. IF HE CANT PULL FEATHERS HE CANT RIP THEM OUT. I SHOULD ADD THE BIT DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH THE ANIMALS LIFE IN ANYWAY OTHER THAN PULLING FEATHERS FROM THE HEN'S NECK... IT WONT CURE FEATHERS BEING TORN UP ON HER BACK OR FLANKS FROM THE ROO'S FOOTING WHILE MATING HER, JUST THE BACK OF THE NECK.
