Quail Breeding Cages (Need some ideas)

I'm going to start constructing cages for my quail (I'm really excited). I need some ideas to build the cages first. Any input would be appreciated thanks.

Cuturnix qauil, I am thinking of pure breeding them too if that helps any

I would make some big wire pens that set on a shelf. That would make good breeder pens, for colony pens I use 12x2 pens with one side that has 2 wire windows, and the end is wire.

Thanks!!! How much of a hieght does the cage need to be? Some cages are 1 foot - 3 feet tall?

I keep mine around 2 feet tall, but 1 foot would be enough. If you go higher than 2 feet they will boink and break their necks on the roof. For my bobwhites I have trampoline netting at the top so they can't get hurt.
