hi

I live in Bedfordshire so the weather is quite mild.

I am having an outside coop with quails.

What breeds would be okay in this weather?
Californian quail or a button quail, plus can they be mixed?

Yeeees

Button quail don't do well in very cold temperatures. I would recommend coturnix quail. We do have members who raise them in the UK, so they are available. Coturnix quail can handle freezing temperatures quite well as long as they are dry, have plenty of food, and have shelter.
