Quail Broken beak

Hi everyone

I found one of my male quails with a broken beak. Its completely clean with no blood but its broken right back to just where the flesh starts. His new beak tip is the flesh bulb thingy (ill get pictures soon). Will the beak grow still if it was just the keratin part that has broken?

Hes also having some problems adapting to the new underbite and keeps missing his food, ive powdered some and kept his crumble pellets in the hopes he can shove his whole face in to get a feed.

Any suggestions to help him?

Photos will be helpful.

Try offering him some feed made into a wet mush, it may be easier to eat than trying to pick up the dry crumbles.

Thank you! Hes the first quail i ever hatched and is about 2 years old now so i would hate for this to cause him to deteriorate. But he seems to be doing okay ill just have to keep spoiling him with egg yolks

It should heal over, but he's going to be sensitive for a few days.
