I was wondering why does everybody say button quail need to be on solid bottomed pens. I had a pair in a wire cage and they did fine, it makes careing for them so much easier. Are there any inherent probmlems with wire bottoms, has anybody had experience with them.

Button quail have such tiny feet that they are prone with more foot problems being on wire.

Quote:Add to that they have monstrous poops...having wire big enough for their droppings to fall through would also mean the wire is big enough for a foot or leg to fall through.
