I'm not up on quail genetics but with cockatiel and parakeet, cinnamon is a sex-linked trait, so if it follows in the quail, your new chick would be a hen. 8)

If what you say is correct, I do hope the chick will get that color, it is really beautiful

! A hen would mean some extra eggs, so that's good too

The interesting part is the chick is all blonde, no brown plumage visible at this stage.
