Everytime I feed it water, it chokes on it a lot. The water doesn't go down and it bubbles at the mouth, gasping and thrashing for air. After a while it goes down and it's fine, but it really looks like it could have died.
I'm now making a wet mash out of chick crumble to keep it hydrated and well fed. It doesn't choke on wet mash but chokes on water.
Do any one else here have problems like that? It is totally unable to drink water on its own, when it tries it chokes.
