Quail Class

Good grief, be patient! Wait at least until they've been in the incubator for 5 days.
Agreed, i learned the hard way months ago to wait for the first candle, the misses picked this coming monday to candle the buttons which will be day 6 for them, also try to candle in under 3-5 minutes 😀 when u do less time out the better, less opens the lids get the better .

Also eggs can be good up to 7 days at about room temp, its on day 7 and after they start losing fertility rates or how ever u say it

That is my first time candling that egg, the other one, was cracked and was 4-5 days old so just decided to see if it was fertile. My dog loves to just sit and watch the eggs!! :)
Here this will help u i hope ^^/ this is coturnix (Japanese) quail

Might be being dramatic.. but those poor eggs that were hatched for the pics :(
These are screen shots off a youtube video of a quail farmer who did it his ch name is coturnix corner if u wish to watch the video and hear his information it is a lil sad but it was extremely informative so u know what to look for in candling and other things. If you want people also post candling vids and how many days old the egg they are showing is.
