Hi all. Monday, I am getting fertile eggs! 7 rare mix Coturnix, from SouthWest Gamebirds.

I honestly would suggest them if you need them quickly, and their service is amazing. They have lives birds, eggs, and even day old chicks for your reptiles.
Defiantly my "local" (it is 2 hours away...) quail place, and I can't see myself buying from other breeders!

This one would always lay out and then get pecked by their sibling. Nice sibling.

Does anyone have a list of symptoms of mites/lice in quail? One of my girls has stopped laying (not enough light but she has lately for some reason) and has frayed feathers. Whenever I move her feathers out of the way some fall out. I think she's eating and acting normally but I separated her just in case it was contagious. When my picture uploads I can post one.

Under her wing there's nothing and it seems dry but I haven't compared to the others so I'm not sure. The reason I suspect mites is the only area that her feathers are frayed is where there's a ton of sand-like stuff (possible just sand) clumped around her feathers. There are no eggs and I see no bugs. Anyone have any idea what is happening? She just molted about 3 weeks ago but it suddenly got warm again so idk if that would throw her off.

I am so glad you posted these.. I would have had a Hart attack had I seen babies doing that.me have been in incubator 2 days now.

Yep I did extensive googling when I first saw them but they were just chilling, lol!
