Quail diaper size?

Haha i actually thought about making the peacock i hatched out a diaper because i had him inside so long, I'll tell you, nothing I've ever had as pets have smelled as bad as peacocks in the house! I knew they were bad because they are all over our farm, but confined to indoors, whew! I was so glad when i was able to put him outdoors :) and i dont think a diaper would of worked anyway, i tried to leash train him and every time i would put his harness on he would give up on life and lay there "dead" until i removed it! I even would hold him up a couple feet off the ground , by the leash and he would just dangle there, spinning slowly in his harness. I wish i had video'd it it was so funny. I finally sold him last month to a nice couple with a lovely little ranch. (Since he ended up male i couldnt just put him in with my existing flock they would of killed him)

Can I just...:gig:lau:lau:lau:gig:gig:yuckyuck, y'all are so stinkin' funny!! I love this site. I know it's a topic brought up in all seriousness, and I really hope you find a diaper to fit your bird I know the little runts crap a lot!.....but...that pic of the bird with the diaper.....:lau:lau:gig:gig:gig:gig:lau:lau
I cant stop!
Camo diapers!!! But, in all seriousness, the camo man bag, @KikisGirls , you might be on to something. Different sizes for different types of birds....even a pouch for the.....diapers! :gig

Looks like some people have tried it.. the quail don't look thrilled about it though 😄

Found that in a tiktok.. they mentioned they were wearing flypers from FanzyPantsShop on Etsy (size medium and small).

They look like they have some room for the poo to go so it's not pressed up against the quail, but all the pigeon keeping guides I've read (which these diapers are designed for) say that you shouldn't let them wear the diaper for more than a few hours for health and hygiene reasons.

Do you think having poop smooshed up against his rear end constantly is going to be comfortable?
It hangs below the rear. I’ve used them for a Bourke parakeet and he did great, he could be out for an hour or two and run around & even fly. It doubled as a harness. Then all you had to do was change the cotton pad inside every hour or so. Pretty slick invention for containing mess.

I guess they must be hoping the quail might be a companion bird but I guess I’m doubtful of that. If they want to try it, it’s not such a bad idea. Although parrot / hook ill poop is much drier and more compact so it may not work so well on fowl.

True. But obviously that’s kinda how diapers are no matter who is wearing them! 😆
