I’m a newbie so if I’m posting in the wrong area please let me know. I have 2 week old quail and woke up today to find two of them died. One has had swollen eyes we’ve been treating with terramycin and I thought he was getting better, eating and drinking and such. So I went through all of them today and found another with swollen eyes (attaches picture) this is Wonton by the way, a real sweetheart. So he’s quarantined, we have a vet appointment on Tuesday. But I can’t lose anymore! It breaks my heart and worse my kids hearts. Any help would be great! Thank you so much.

What temperature are they at? What are you feeding them? Can you post a picture of your setup?
They are 83 in the cool areas and 100 in the hot area. This is the set up before I split them up today.

100 is awfully high for 2 week olds. Are they getting enough protein? They should be getting around 28% protein feed.
Now that they’re split up the temps are down. I’m feeding them Turkey starter ground up 30% protein.

I wouldn't doubt they got dehydrated at such high temps but perhaps I am wrong since they had other symptoms. Overheating plus another issue like respiratory diseases would be enough to wipe a quail out. So sorry for your loses.

Thanks so much. Now they are hanging around 75, is that too low?
