Quail egg swap

Kelly!

I just had to say that is one of the best pics I've ever seen. Good job!

I also want to add -- for anyone who keeps button quail, PLEASE give your little birds dust baths. They LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE to dust bathe, so it's my mission to make sure they have a chance to do it!

How old do they have to be before they can dust bathe? I give my pharoahs sand for bathing, but they are adults, and are outside. My button and A&M's are in the fish tank still. They are about 2 weeks old.

Good idea!! But maybe it should be the quail egg swap waiting list, since it is too cold, and most of us don't have eggs yet! Plus I would omit the 'button' part, because I don't have enough buttons for eggs right now!

I've got more than enough teeny tiny eggs as it is.

But if anyone in the Lebanon area wants some eggs, I'll be happy to share!

On age for dustbathing, I don't think any age is too young. Just put a dustbath in, and they'll use it when they're old enough to appreciate it!

You should just change it to quail swap so people with other types of quail will see it.

shelley - when I first tried to take that pic the little button ran right off the top of the tank and under the dresser and I had to go crawling after him...those suckers can MOVE! It took me forever to get him to hold still...LOL.

Yeah they try to bathe in their shavings right now, have to change their water constantly!

What part of TN is Lebanon in? I am in Columbia KY, which is about an hour or so north of Lake Cumberland (the lake, not the hatchery!).
