quail eggs are hatching. need HELP. first time.

by reading through this, i really think your humidity is running to high. if this group doesn't hatch, try only filling part of the water troughs on your next hatch.

It's takes 23 days for a quail to develop and hatch.

that is depending on breed, pharaoh quail hatch typically starting day 17-18. button quail start even sooner sometimes. i didnt ask what kind of quail though. i have only hatched pharaoh quail, and a few buttons for someone else.

I've had pharaoh and right now I'm hatching bob white. Those look like pharaoh quail eggs though.

I have 23 bobwhite eggs I ordered from Georgia. I am not certain what his are. I found out he had them in a shed for almost a week before he gave them to me. The bobwhites atre due Sunday. Which would put his eggs around tuesday or wednesday.

One hatched today. Tomorrow is 23 days. I should wait til they dry to take them out right? The one that's in there looks a little wet on the back, but if he is dry tomorrow and the others hatch, should I wait til they are dry and take them all out at the same time? I got my brooder box warming up now.

Sounds right to me. Give the rest of the eggs a few more days to hatch after the 23 because there are more than likely some late bloomers.

Day 24 and I only have one bird. I can't put it in the brooder box by itself, can I?
