Quail eggs in a turner (not a small quail turner)

A standard egg turner.....
Do I put cotton in the egg cup to help keep the quail eggs a bit stable if I haven't purchased an actual egg turner specific for the smaller eggs???

I usually cut out the cups from a carton and stick them in there...that way I can fit 2 quail eggs (or 4 Button eggs) in one holder and not take up as much room.

ahhh OK so then the good news is that the cotton will not suck up too much of the humidity? I am figuring that I'll need a little extra humidity just from the added porous material...

I don't use cotton, but you will probably have to add more water than normal if you do.

What kind of eggs do you have? The only eggs I have done that didn't fit in the chicken cups were button quail eggs. They fall right through!
