This is my first time trying to incubate quail eggs. I got 4 dozen off a lady that said the were fertilized. I put them in this morning and by this afternoon had two pop open with the stench of gawd offeleness. At what point can I try and candle them to see what is happening. Hope she did not sell me 4 dozen rotten eggs.

    Welcome to BYC!

You might try posting this in either the incubation or the quail section. Somehow you wound up in the recipe section. Folks here could maybe tell you about eating those eggs, hatching, maybe not so much.

Good luck with your hatch, I sure hope you didn't get hosed.

Seems like you got some spoiled eggs. Did you ask her how old they were? I candle mime at 7 days and at day 14 before lock down.
