Finally got the egg first ever egg so why is it so small I believe they should be bigger than this

The first eggs are often small. They get bigger as the hen gets older.

Will the laying be inconsistent as I heard they lay one a egg a day today I have nothing

No I put it in a quail egg box my quails that hatched came in and its half that size

Yes, they may be inconsistent as well. Once they're laying regularly I would wait a week or two for fertile eggs. They might be fertile right away, but it's better to wait until they're stable.
