Quail eggs

Since you're in Ireland they haven't had enough day-light to start laying (you can supplement them with light do bump their "daylight" up to 14 hours - doesn't have to be strong light).

Since your free ranging them, I'm thinking that they are laying somewhere in the field and not in their enclosure. That's why they appear not to be laying.

Soo sorry my quails are 1 year of age ,we got them like 2 weeks of their age I am Shure they didn't lay eggs in the grass as I look for them in the morning before I let them free range (i put my quails in the coop to avoid predictors)

Coturnix usually lay in the afternoon, not morning like a chicken

But I had a worry that mice eat the eggs as one we had a rat eating our chicken eggs but we got rid of him .But the mice are still around

Mice will take the eggs. We can't forget ours out of the cages or they won't be around when we come down in the morning.

Right I went to put the quails in the coop and their was no signs of eggs I was watching them from a camera and they were acting all ok they were taking a dirt bath and eating drinking and sining I checked all places where they were but all was empty
