Quail eggs

oh well in that case I never turn my eggs while storing not chook or quail lol and sometimes only hand turn my chook eggs 1 time a day and not 2, I have good hatch rated though.... and I barely turn quail while incubating as well. I am a bad hatcher I guess

exactly what I was getting at. I barely care about my quail eggs while storing them, now when I have eggs that are going out to others atleast once a day i tilt them to be considerate but for myself nah... i just sit them until I put them in the bator.

My idea of turnign quail eggs is pushing a group of them to the left or right once a day (maybe twice a day if i remember) and many times i dont turn them at all during a given day). I really dont believe they need it

I also had RIR hatch that was in the fridge for over a month and then incubated in all the time it was in the fridge it was never turned or even sli out of the way

Well I hope we have a good hatch. All my quail from Chicken Stock are laying now. Same with the button quail my wife got. I'm gonna keep collecting for the next week or so and fire up my other bator.

I am new to this forum and new to quail. I just hatched 10 A and M's and 40 jumbo Bob whites last week. And I have 130 more A and M eggs coming. Are you saying that you can refrigerate the eggs and they will still hatch? I did not know this and I have been hatching chickens for 10 yrs.
Thanks,
Terri

Just make sure that your refridgerator doesn't freeze your egg shelf like mine does.
