Quail Eggtopsy < Day 8?

I set Coturnix Quail eggs last friday evening 5/13. I candled the lot today and removed several.
I cracked some open and wondered if this guy was a quitter at less than 7 days or if I made em quit.
to me, seems behind in development.

a comparable chicken embryo at 11 days?

Sometimes when you crack them open their hearts are beating. There is not much blood so I am sorry to say he is a quitter
