quail emergency

one of my quial is pretty sick, and cant get up, when it does, it falls on its side, and also has diarrhea. any help is appreciated. its also really hot. ive put him inside in isolation where its cooler, with food and water. Help PLEASE!!!!

You say the quail is hot? If this quail has over heated, this is exactly what happens. They can't stand, lay on their sides and have diarrhea. If you think that this is the reason for the symptoms, then bring the quail inside where it is cooler. Offer up water with ice in it, put the quail in front of a fan and mist the quail. Don't drench, as this will mat feathers and make them hotter. Just a mist.

Keep the quail inside for 6 or 8 hours till they have completely recovered.

It's 4 days now, he is still alive, but is still falling over. the ice water helps and fan helps too. what is Cocci? i cant find it anywhere

If the color of the diarrhea is reddish black, then it definitely could be cocci. If it is clear or green, then it is not cocci.. He could have suffered some head injury and has some brain swelling. Any other symptoms?

Hi,

my quail has the exact symptoms and it has been 4 days as well. still falling over.
droppings are green/ white. have a small fan and ice water. lot's of appetite, but still falling over...
