Hi there i need i lil help
I have a female coturnix quail who seems to have an infection in one eye she does open it from time to time but other wise seems to keep it closed shes stil very active but its my first time dealing with eye infections When she opens her eye it is very watery and has some mucus looking substance in it

i do have some theories that she might have gotten something in her eye as she is a very naughty and curious bird and walked through some spider webs the other day

I’m not sure, but @Nabiki has quails I think? I’m sorry if I’m wrong, I don’t spend a lot of time on the quail forum.

Do you have pictures? If you think she has something in her eye, or even if not, you should probably start with a warm (quail body temp) water rinse. Saline solution would be best. Once it's cleaned, you'll be able to see if she improves and you'll be able to see if there's an injury or something unusual with the eye.

i cant provide picture as she hates cameras and runs at the sight of them
It's awfully hard to diagnose without at least a picture. You could hold her and take a picture. You're going to have to hold her to rinse the eye anyways.
