If you can by turkey starter or even chick starter you could just buy a couple pounds and use that until you know how many are going to hatch.

not a expert here but I am almost positive they have to be on game bird starter
because they need the higher protein for proper growth

if you were closer than two hours away I would give you some lol
why only 7 out of 20?
regardless feed keeps well if kept dry
and unless your only hatching for others and not keeping them
they will eat 50 pounds...just might take them a bit

I was able to find 5 pound bags of MannaPro Gamebird/Showbird feed (24% protein) and I just put it in the blender to powder it. I can't believe how much the babies eat though!! I am on my 2nd bag and they are only 12 days old. So yeah, they'll eat it!

I also have been supplementing with hard boiled chicken egg which I gave them starting 7 days old, and dried mealworms which at first I crumbled for them. Now they are able to break them up themselves.

Have fun! :-)

From time to time they have smaller bags on ebay but you have to factor in shipping.

thanks all.

there are other feed stores in the area. not as close to the house.
i will check with them.
i might even buy more eggs, until i can produce my own.
