Quail First Aid Needed

It would appear my quail pair had a lovers tiff and it ended with my male missing his scalp! A large amount of bone is exposed and I'm not really sure what to do? Is there any chance this bird will recover, or would it be best to euthanize him?

There was a post fromt he other night that someone used liquid band-aid and there roo healed up
Maybe that is something to look into
