Quail has been limping, and I'm not sure why, please help!

So I have two pet male quails and they're both about a year and a half old, in the last week I noticed one of them had been limping and today when I checked him out I noticed that one of his leg joints was extremely swollen, and now his leg is unable to move. I first tried warm water to try and loosen the joint and clean up around the leg, but this didn't help, I'm worried I might have to put him down if this continues. As well as this I trimmed both their wings 6 months ago to prevent them from flying too high when I let them out their pen (note: I live in suburbia) and his wings haven't fully grown back, contrary too my other quail who's feathers are extremely clean, he's also been loosing a lot of feathers. I've come to the conclusion that this can't be diet related because they both eat the same food and the same amount.

Is there something like an injury, bumble foot or an infection? Try giving him some extra electrolytes, vitamins, minerals, and calcium if you think he might be down o something or his body isn't getting enough of it for some reason. Do you have a picture if you're willing? He might just be getting sick or hurt and not able to take care of himself if something happened....

Yeah that's probably really uncomfortable and should probably be wrapped to try and heal the joints or bone...

Were you able to figure out what was ailing him? I have a 1yr old quail with severe swelling in the joint, but no clue what may have caused it...
