Quail Hatching Help (Day 18)

That's GREAT! just remember the chicks can stay in the incubator until dry and/or for 12 to 18 hrs. if need be, before they need to be moved out to the brooder. So you don't want to open the bator and let the moisture out. In the mean time get your brooder set up if not already, make sure your temps are good, feed and water. Dip their beaks in the water when putting them in the brooder.
Hope you get a good hatch!
Thanks! I got the brooder setup two days ago (lol). I was wondering if you could look at these pictures and see if you know what happened? I do not know if I should remove the egg or not. DID MY EGG EXPLODE?

Yep, it exploded, an unfertile, rotten egg.

Oh... I will try to get some out... I was instructed to put in that much by my incubator.
Don't bother to get it out, too late you don't want to open it right now. When it's beading up on the viewing glass, it's almost 100% humidity. Too much is just as bad as not enough...can cause defects such as crooked toes, could drip off onto a pipped opening and the chick drown. Also has been thought to contribute to wry neck.

If it's not an illusion. It almost looks like the egg that busted was setting in water.

I advised to remove it. With the amount of humidity on the glass a quick openshouldnt have hurt

Gosh, I feel like a expecting father! Like I did on my 1st hatch 48 years ago.
Haha, I am sure you had much more knowledge than me.

It is an illusion. However, there is a lot of water in the incubator. I am not sure how to remove it.
