Quail incubation

I have quail eggs arriving Thursday. Last time, the seller said to put them right in the incubator and not turn for 24 hours (fat end up). For chicken eggs, I have them sit at room temp for at least 24 hours prior to putting in the incubator. Any thoughts? Thanks.

If you think they might have reached temps where the embryos could have started incubating, my recommendation is to put them in the incubator a lot sooner than a day.

The not turning for the first day or so is to let the air sacks reattach if they were jostled in shipping. It will not matter if the eggs are on the counter or in the incubator for that portion.

Just as a personal preference I would still wait the 24 hours prior to setting them.
Thank you. I would prefer that actually. I put them in right when I got them and they hatched Monday night. I would prefer a Tuesday night hatch as Wednesday is my day off.
