Quail injuries, need help to identify.

I have two quail with leg problems that I would like to resolve if possible.

The first three pics of the chick:
The chick sits on its joints constantly and one leg can be seen sitting further out than the other. Is this splayed leg or perosis? It didn’t have any noticeable issues with it until about a day ago, and although research has been done, I haven’t been able to come to a solid resolution. It has a very deep, translucent red hue under the feathers around the joint and appears twisted.

Fourth pic of the adult:
Both joints on this bird are big, unable to straighten the leg whatsoever. This bird was injured before and was walking better with training and vitamins, was added back to the flock, however suddenly took a turn for the worst with its joints. What could be the problem here?

It looks like they're on wire. Do they have dirt boxes where they can rest their feet from the wire?

Neither of them are on wire yet as the chick is still too young, and the other one is injured so we left it with bedding on its own.

The older one does get its butt feathers cleaned every two days at this point and bedding changed at that same rate also

The first looks like an injury or deformity. I had one like that, he looked like tiny Tim hobbling with his crooked leg sticking out like a crutch. He eventually faded despite my best efforts, and I had to cull him. The second I’m wondering if it could be red hocks. I know red hocks is most common in the large meat chickens, but I’ve heard people claim to have had quail chicks with it. Try looking it up and see if the description matches your bird.

@FloorCandy I have never heard of red hocks! We did have to cull the bird a few days ago as she had managed to twist her feet under herself and was scooting forward so bad that she had a protrusion at her chest bone along with a scab. She was starting to also lose weight and wasn’t keeping up with feathering out like her hatchmates did... Didn’t want her to suffer much longer.

As for the chick with the faulty leg, that one was also culled at the same time. That said, out of a hatch of 35 (out of 40), I am grateful to have only had to lose one chick.
